What are Privat Deals for iBB SSP?

  • It is possible to set most of common iBB AdServer features for Private deal.
  • Do not define banners. Banners have to be defined on partners DSP site by advertiser.
  • If you do not see option "private deal plan" in user interface of iBB Adserver, contact support.
  • Private deals which had been created before this release have to be edit in iBB SSP UI. New Private deals have to be created in iBB AdServer only.
  • Newly created Private deals are not forwarded to UI SSP.
  • Data for Private Deal and open RTB auction are generated in iBB SSP reports.
  • Invoicing process remains unchanged.
  • Publisher can include the sites to open auction or engage sites only for Private Deal.  Publisher has to offered these sites to iBB SSP and set the high floor price  (the highest price is 2000 CZK). Using such strategy the RTB offered auction will be blocked. Only Private Deal or offer from open RTB with the higher price will be chosen.  This setting can be change anytime and sites can be included into the open auction by reducing the floor price.
  • It is possible to set ad formats which are not commonly available for open auction in iBB SSP.  Use the tags  feature of ad position in iBB AdServer for maximum dimensions setting. In case of another adserver, it is necessary to create separate site for PD and set generated codes in your adserver for required ad position and priority.

Privat Deal setting in iBB SSP

  1. Login into the system
  2. Create a campaign
  3. Create a plan for Privat Deal newDealPlan.png
  4. Set price and partner for Privat Deal
Note: site/format floorprice is not applied to the Private Deal price (neither  the price from the position tag ibb-requiredEcpm: XY)
Note: if the price in bidResponse Private Deal is lower than the price set in SSP PD, the system iBB SSP will not accept this Private Deal and the offer is forwarded to the standard auction process and site/format floorprice is applied for it.
  5. Set limits of a plan
limit for clicks and viewable impressions is not available due to technical limitation.
  6. Activate a plan - if the plan/campaign start is set for today, it is necessary to activate it manualy.
  7. Forward ID of Private Deal to advertiser (see 4.4), who will insert this ID into DSP/Trading desk for chosen campaign. After campaigns activation on DSP side, iBB SSP starts to send bidRequest including PD ID for selected sites to DSP partners. If the DSP wants the impression, it has to answer using PD ID in  bidResponse.

Advanced plan setting:

  • Plan priority setting - you can set priority that Private Deal can compete with adserver campaigns.
    • In case of AdServer plans with eCPM optimization running on the same priority level, the offer with the highest price wins.
    • In case of AdServer plans without eCPM optimization running on the same priority level, these plans take precedence over Private Deal
    • Private Deals take precedence over all iBB RTB campaigns
    • In case of more Private Deals competing for the impression, the Private deal with higher price wins.  If the price is on the same level, the faster Private deal (first bidResponse) wins
  • Capping
