External code is used for "control" (that is, to measure the number of impressions, clicks or rolls over the space that you ordered for the campaign).

There are three types of external codes:

The first two types of external code can be generated only for plans targeted to the external site. Quick tracking dot is not connected to any site. If you are authorized to administer the site, you work mainly with codes of native site. An external site and external codes are used e.g. for measuring of direct mails or PR articles or in the event you need to insert a separate URL for measuring impressions or banners clicks.

Advantages of external codes:

  • you control the statistics of the site where you order the space for campaign
  • the code is active for the duration of the campaign plan
  • there is the possibility of measuring impressions and clicks on any place of web page
  • the administration of banners is on your site (faster exchange of motives, URL...)

Disadvantages of external codes:

  • you do not affect WHERE exactly the advertising will be displayed
  • you do not affect WHEN  the advertising will be displayed
  • you do not affect HOW OFTEN the advertising will be displayed
  • you do not affect to WHOM the advertising will be displayed (e.g. regional, technological, PBT targeting...)
  • you do not affect HOW MANY TIMES the advertising will be displayed
