Limit "limit plan by time and do not schedule impressions " affects distribution of impressions in a plan. It is usually called "Time plan".

This limit in iBB Ad Server is available on the level of a campaign´s plan and provides the steady spreading of  impressions for the duration of a campaign.

The limit is often combined with  Primary limit of a plan or a campaign. It is used mainly for non-impression campaigns.

Setting:

  1. Open the selected campaign
  2. Click on the item "Limits in plan"
  3. Select "limit plan by time and do not schedule impressions"
  4. Insert the number of impressions that you expect to use into the field "Impression expected". The system works with this value when estimating the amount of free space in the report Inventory Utilization.
  5. Save the setting

E.g. The campaign is sold for 550 clicks over 3 sites, the distribution of clicks is not important for a client. The client needs the campaign to run a week then until all clicks are delivered.

  • Time period of a campaign- 7 days
  • Limit in plans - "limit plan by time and do not schedule impressions"
  • Limit of a campaign - "Primary limit - Clicks",  550 units
  • Limit of a campaign - "Continuously optimize to equalize primary limit units" - this function ensures the steady running of a campaign  for 7 days
  • Limit of a campaign - "Prolong if the required amount of primary limit units hasn't been reached" - a campaign will be prolonged until the time when the 550 click limit is reached.
