What are the user account used for.
What types of accounts we have.

To create a new user account you must have the right to create new users on your iBB Ad Server account.

There are two types of user accounts:
a) account for employees of your company
b) account for external system users (client, site owner, agency ...)

Creation of a new account for employees of your company

  1. Enter the system
  2. Open the page Administration -> New user or Administration -> Users or Campaigns -> Campaign users . At the top of the page is drop-down menu "New user" 
  3. Choose the required type of a new user from the menu and click on "New user"
  4. Fill in needed information about the user. Required information is:
    • Name (for better orientation in the user list fill in the most accurate name)
    • Username - it can be any group of letters, numbers and signs unique for whole iBB Ad Server.
    • Password - it can be any group of letters, numbers and signs. It is recommended to create a "strong" password = a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers.
    • Choose the company to which a new user belongs from the drop-down menu
    • Choose the language of iBB Ad Server user interface

    Other information is optional. We recommend to filling in the contact e-mail which is used for sending statistics, allerts...

  5. Save the settings
  6. You have created an account for employees of your company. The rights for this user account are set by Preset rights. These rights can be changed in How to change user rights

Creation of a new account for external user (client, site owner...)

  1. Enter the system
  2. Open the page Administration -> New user or Administration -> Users  or Campaigns -> Campaigns users. At the top of the page is drop-down menu "New company"
  3. Choose the required type of a new user from the menu and click on "New company"
  4. Fill in the company name or other optional Information about the company
  5. Save the settings
  6. On the next page, fill in information about the user. Required information is:
    • Name  (for better orientation in the user list fill in the most accurate name)
    • Username - it can be any group of letters, numbers and signs unique for whole iBB Ad Server.
    • Password - it can be any group of letters, numbers and signs. It is recommended to create a "strong" password = a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers.
    • Choose the language of iBB Ad Server user interface
    • Other information is optional. We recommend to filling in the contact e-mail which is used for sending statistics, alerts...
    • If you do not fill in information about the contact person from the company, add a name identical with the company name.

  8. You have created a new company and a new company user. The rights for these user accounts are set by Preset rights. These rights can be changed in How to change user rights.

    Recommended:
    The access information (login, password) for Install Admin should be held by only one person in the company who is responsible for your system.
    Create individual acount for each person working with the system. In case of a mistake is easier to identify a person using the User activity 
    Choose the appropriate user type for individual people working with the system. Do not give them more rights than is necessary.
